Nodes refreshing and Food

I can leave the game, for the day, after cleaning out some nodes. Come back the next day and the nodes are all still cleaned out. It doesnt take into account the ACTUAL time that has passed by in the real world.

Food doesnt make sense. I have a recipe that calls for 2 waters and 2 berries but all it does is give me about the same hydration as 2 waters. No food buff? Why even waste the ingredients? It should give AT LEAST the amount of stuff you put in and considering you went through the trouble of cooking it, you should get a bit more out of it. Maybe some sort of a buff?
