RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Add spell to teleport to Lodestone
I'm getting absolutely ****ed off that.

I've died, respawned only to get an immediate warband on my base, lodestone teleported away to only get immediately hunted by several packs. I have no gear because I'm still trying to get resources and my corpse had the Vault Core to make the lodestone I needed.

Fix this ******** I am not here to play Dark Souls or Corpse Run Sim, I thought this was Runescape. I shouldnt be forced into combat so frequently.

if they dont add world settings then i honestly dont think this game will make it.
It's Runescape by IP, not by genre. It's meant to be more challenging, so expect some unfair situations sometimes.

That being said I agree we should have a Lodestone Teleport spell, doesn't make sense that we don't since we can make Lodestones themselves, and anyone who plays RS3 knows how Lodestones normally work.
Yep, World settings, I would like the ability to switch OFF Warbands and "Being Hunted", got no issue with the dragon acid encounters etc.
But I should be able to play this as a more peaceful game, not as a hardcore survival.
Edit: I note it appears its planned, as the UI does have a Basic / Advanced style option when trying to edit the world etc. So hopefully soon :(

what? just run... you can outrun pretty much every enemy... except maybe the wolves but dodge arounnd trees and they will bugger off..also the Jump spell is OP takes a second to use but just get a little distance hit the spell and jump to a rock or cliff.. and keep running easy..plus you can make like 20+ lodestones you really dont need that many or a teleport stone to instantly teleport one.. just run a little.. gather stuff on the way..

Yeah not having a teleport spell is odd. I'm hoping it's just because we don't have the magic skills yet.

Since you wanna mention dark souls allow me to bestow onto you the age old saying.
'Get gud'
You can literally just run away and you out run them, not to mention the amount of trees around for cover. I have also died and had to run back for my stuff. It's not that hard

Typical, feedback about game difficulty gets responses of "get good" rather than "huh, maybe we COULD improve this"

Typical toxic community

I mean, I agree with you about a teleport spell being needed, but you did start this off with some really toxic-level complaining. I didn't address it because the core message is something I agree with, but otherwise, getting better at the game will save you a lot more issues in the short-term until the do add such a spell (if they do), and in the long-term throughout playing the game. Complaining feels nice, but it solves nothing.
If this is your first Survival Crafter, welcome to the hell that you have bought into.

Get good idk why you would think this would be a regular experience. It's a survival crafting game with soulslike combay. You should be expecting a corpse run just from that sped

100% agree and I do intend to try and "get better" at the game so to speak. Surely the frustration can be understood however for this scenario.
Die far away.
Respawns to immediate warband (no gear left)
Teleports to Lodestone closer to corpse
Immediate "Hunted" with 2 packs
Dies again trying to run away due to swamp / ranged attacks.

The above is not "fun" its off putting at best. Why would I want to try and explore more of the game if I'm locked in the equivalent of "being corpse camped in Stranglethorn Vale"?

Like I said, welcome to Survival Crafters. That's majority of your time in most of these games lol. You spend time exploring and gather, die to some BS, spend some time getting your stuff back, and continue your merry way. Something's gonna eff you in the anus at some point, but one thing you carry between game to game in this genre, is you learn to pick your moments and battles, play stealthy, and run when you can't fight.

The problem is it's not "at some point."

It interrupts the game flow. You're really adamant on defending the flaws of this game. I like survival games like this, but this game needs a lot of tuning. When they add buildable defenses, it will help a lot.

Some areas should definitely not have hunts, or should have adjusted hunts, too. The swamp areas are already annoying enough with poisonous enemies and poor movement. They need to make some adjustments, or they risk losing popularity, and many of us have seen what happens when Jagex games lose popularity (DarkScape, Chronicles, Idle Adventures). I don't want to see this game get abandoned and shut down like the others.

Swamp areas, at least the first one, shouldn't have hunts. Warbands, hunts, and dragon attacks should share a timer, or reroll their timer when another event occurs. There also needs to be a tin spot that doesn't require getting through the level 3 enemies, just one would be fine. Give plays a resource to work with to try and get more on par with enemies.

I love hard games, and I'm in the camp that complained about Dark Souls 3 being way too easy. This game, though? There are cheaper direct competitors that Jagex has to contend with. All my friends have abandoned this game for another run at Valheim. The vaults are rough, but I think they have a nice difficulty to them. They get to be a challenge, BUT you're not worrying about RNG getting in the way of things. I think what we're dealing with now would be fair for the next region they add, but I don't think it works for early game. Especially since you don't get a decent array of weapons until you get metalworking. You don't want to lose your players before they can even make a sword.

I'm not really defending flaws of the game? I think I even agreed with the OP about a teleport spell which was their main message?

The fact is though that most Survival games are unfair in some way. That's always been the way of it. I'm sure they'll scale back the Dragon attacks, or even outright remove the dragon attacks as a reward for killing the dragon, and scale back hunts at some point in a future patch. But most people have already learned how to deal with them, either passively or actively.
The people still complaining are a loud minority who just rather complain most of the time, even when given solid advice prefer to call "toxic" on the community who's just trying to help them. (I am not referring to OP in this regard, OP has been pleasant and respectful aside from the opening post.)
I can understand frustration because these games can be frustrating lol. I don't play Valheim anymore because it's boring AF. It's more of a slog to get where you want to or get things done. I respect anyone who likes the game and plays it, but I probably will never finish it because everytime I start it up again I stop as soon as I get to iron lol

That's where I'm at now, I died many many times before I even got to a decent metal spot. I found a cave behind some vines and ironically, I put a lodestone in there and the vines regrow so its a protected ore vein spot I can farm
Place your loadstones at the border of biome, and also build survival huts with a bed at the load stone, When you enter areas that you dont master, set the bed to spawn at death and go with chest puffed up ;)
I've been in the 3 starter biomes and a bit into the fourth (with the magic tracking lightning) and to me it seem that hugging the edge of the region makes nice progression without to much hassle/death. Its not a pro tip ik, but 'hey' it has worked for me and my ten buttered thumbs
