Sawmill...potions?

Hi
Ive been playing now for about 17 hours, ive done up to the wise mans quest killing the stag, built my base chopped tons of logs etc but I cannot work out how I get the loom, sawmill, make potions, I am getting attacked at my base almost every 15 mins either by a dragon or goblins (which is MORE than annoying) and I NEED potions to try and stay alive, where/how do I unlock them please

You have been playing for 17 hours and don't have loom, sawmill and cauldron yet? What the heck. Swamp has materials to make cauldron for potion making, then north from swamp you start to find copper and tin ore

Make and TALK to all other stations you can possably build.

Sawthing and stone grinder unlocks when you get iron or melt it to iron ingots.

Loom has upgrades that you need to place next to it. Kill some sheep in the thundering biome. And or some deer in other lands.
