How difficult are the quests?

I read somewhere there are quests in the game, right? I playd a bit of runescape 3 and there I can only complete quests with a guide next to me. I don't like to follow a guide all the time. So how are the quests in runescap dragonwilds? Can you complete them without a guide? Are they more straightword than in runescape 3?

I’m stuck with most quests like the ghost one in general, the quests gives most of the time no correct location of where to go on the map and the journal is also not updated to what they have said. So journal is TOTALY USELESS. Ghost said somewhere there north on a hill… and the quest is pointing to the well that i already got the necklace out.
