Right now there is only one dragon. The dragon that appears in the castle is the one you will be hunting in the game (you cant kill him first encounter) you need better equipment which you get following the main mission and at the end you slay him.

Are you serious? Come on man, face the difficulty and stop crying, this game is definitely not for you. The coolest thing to do is live under this tension of the majestic dragon coming to finish us off.

If you like being brutalized then play dark souls. Survival doesn't mean endless brutality. The dragon attacks way too much as it is, and it needs to stop when dead.

Being free of dragon attacks should be a reward for killing the dragon. It's dumb to kill an enemy and then have him still attacking you. He's dead!

Check out Nexus Mods.

There's already mods that you can customize the frequency of attacks/raids, and ones that completely turn them off, along with mods that make structures not take damage etc, etc.

MODS are here!

Yes everybody knows. But why have I use third party mods and waiting for an author updating it every ingame update?

If the modder can make this option in 2 days, then the devs also should implement this option in no time. So people can play it the hard way and others can tweak the game via settings to their liking. Seeme no big deal. And is standard for most survival games today.

Advocating for mods should not be the answer for issues in an early access game. This is the time to give feedback, not the time to chase outside solutions. Use them if you want, but this is something the devs should take care of.

As others stated its not about difficulty. Its about killing something and for some reason it still appears, kind of kills off the point of going to kill it.

Now if you could fight it again ok i understand. Infact i would like to fight the dragon again and get different rewards for it. Or even maybe each time it gets harder/ learns abilities / the fighting arena gets fire traps implemented. However this is not the case.

as of mods i have to agree with pyro3000. This shouldnt be a mod thing this is a bug that the developers should fix
unless i glitched him he doesnt attack me anymore. i havent killed him and he stopped attacking after i encountered him at the castle for the first time. i havent built a new home yet and still have the same one next to the old man that asks you to build a base.

i still get the watbond raids though.

i do agree with other with after hes dead, you should no longer have dragon attacks or at least make it a different element to show its now a new dragon.

The raid events (dragon, warband, hunted) seem to be on simplified timer + RNG triggers with no situational awareness. I think the spawns are as well. There's little logic baked in to balance anything.

They don't seem to check if you just had an event, if you just woke up, and [the most absurd] if you've killed the stage boss Velgar.

I'm enjoying the game, tolerate the constant interruptions to the crafting/building that I'm now. The game is over for me at 30+ hours, but I'll still tinker around and level skills in prep for the updates.

However I've also started recommending friends and family avoid it IF I know the constant senseless attacks will frustrate them. That's usually couples I know that want co-op games, but enjoy exploration, build, and crafting more than combat.

I'm sure Jagex will eventually tune this out, fix the obvious stage transition issues. They've already said a creative mode is coming so I also assume other gameplay options are in the works as well.

For now, I'm happy enough as guinea pig/beta tester. :)

the update they did today 23rd of april still does not fix this issue. The dragon still wanders in my game after killing it.

i think I'm going to take the opposite and say there should be more dragons. let me explain... it seems proper that after killing one of the "generals" the queen would send in more support for the area that she lost said general. now i agree it seems silly for it to be the same dragon that you'd just killed so a greater variety of them is what i'd want. that first guy is only a beefy green dragon. what about the blue through rune ones (and various others) is of course an early access game at this point so who know what might be added in the future
