RuneScape: Dragonwilds

The dragon attacks are silly
I had 3 attacks back to back at the same time as an enemy invasion of my base, the poison just phases through everything so I can't shelter through it, enemies aren't affected by it so you can't even play around it, and the tick rate on the poison is double what it states, you take 3 damage every HALF second not every second. Who thought this was a good idea?

also rain effects go right through your roof... I get this is early access but come on, even valheim figured this out at first launch, jagex is a £400 million company how do you not have the money and the QA teams for this?
also because this game has no pause even in single player, something that takes literally 2 lines of code to implement, I know, I've done it in UE before, while typing up this post I died to yet another raid that showed up less than 5 minutes after I dealt with the last one. I don't have any time to get any crafting done when I'm being constantly hammered by all this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I'd say wait for a bit to see if it improves first.
The dragon attacks are annoying. The game can't be paused and a dragon could show up at any time so there isn't a way to pause/idle safely, you need to exit the game if you're going to walk away for 2 minutes. Or be inconvenienced to have to go find a vault or level 1 area to idle in first

they push the game to finish and later patch it while its still under warranty. This is the way.

This is the way for indie companies that can't afford QA teams, for AAA studios though they shouldn't be doing this.

The first dragon attack was cool. but after 50 of them they are stupid. You cannot even fight back. There are two options die or run out of the area. Same goes with the base raids and you are being hunted. Every once in a while it's a cool thing, but the frequency is over the top.

the thing is these devs do not understand pacing at all. Like gathering iron in this game has to be one of the most miserable experiences I have had in a video game. Not only are you having to dodge random lightning strikes, and the shockbulb plants who can curve their ranged attacks to hit you so your only option is to dodge roll costing you stamina because apparently you're not allowed to sidestep ranged attacks, as well as dodging the constant dragon attacks, but also you can have 3 berserkers dropped on you at any moment through a "you're being hunted" event that btw, they materialised around me, I did not get the chance to fight back at all because they stunlocked me to death. Valheim was far better paced, this isn't "tough but fair" it's sadist fetish territory.

Oh also, not only are the enemies immune to the poison the dragons drop, but also are immune to lightning strikes, Only the player can ever be affected by environmental damage.

I agree, dragon appearance frequency and raid occurrences are a bit too often, I'm getting three or four of them in just one day cycle. I also noticed things/new hordes re-spawn in areas you just killed things fairly quickly even if you don't move too far away (Talking like maybe a hill over). And the lack of being able to pause in single player is very disappointing, yeah we can go to the menu, but in single player there's no reason you shouldn't be able to pause.

Also with hordes invading the base, I've managed to kill 3 waves in a row before falling to the fourth, but even then four waves of six guys seems a bit excessive especially if you haven't even gotten to bronze yet and that's been my experience.

For sure needs some scaling work and tlc... I hope it gets fixed / adjusted in an update because I honestly really would like to enjoy the game instead of getting a little frustrated from dying over and over again to honestly, stupid ♥♥♥♥.
A few tip/ideas i've had and tried to deal with the dragon,

1) build in a 1 level area, don't listen to that daft wizard in the broken building he's a nut job, "OHH.. come build here in the level 2 area, theirs only a few goblins to take care of" never mind the whole F'n green dragon that's wiped out the expedition fleet and strand us all here, he only visit every 3mins to spew his vileness everywhere, the old codger must be smoking that hobbits weed that Gandalf gets.

2) if you did build in the burnt out village you can always run up to the vault up the hill to the south,( looks like a grill on the map) you can even place a teleport next to it and one at your base for a quick escape.

Personally Yes the dragon is a pain and needs to be curtailed, why is he even bothering with us, isn't there an army or a castle he could be attacking instead?

his attacks on us need to be really cut down, a few fly by's maybe..

As for the goblin hunting parties, they really annoy me, spawning in out of no where, smashing thru my house in seconds, one wall two floors and a chest all destroyed in before i could even get outside to fight them off, i only live in a 3x3 hut.

The hunting parties need to be done like the bandit raids in the game Bellwight, where they actually have to come from there base and travel to my base, giving me time to head them off and fight them before they get here, or reinforce my base in time.

These events, along with the amateur graphic settings implementation are things that early access SHOULD iron out. Just keep giving them feedback, this could be a decent game, IF they listen.

some of these things should have been figured out by their internal QA team though, this isn't some indie dev company, this is jagex, they are worth half a billion, they can afford an internal QA team
yep, not the best feature in the game. Some days in-game is 2-3 dragon attacks and 2 raids (+ 2 raids the night before). Kind of busy -.-

something else I've discovered btw, is that if you get out of the location of the current dragon attack, like it starts then you just bolt out of the area without being in the AOE, the dragon will relocate to your new position and start the attack again immediately, it's like it's trying to force you into it like "NO YOU WILL DEAL WITH BEING PUKED ON YOU DON'T GET TO NOT ENGAGE WITH OUR MECHANICS!", it's the same with enemies curving projectiles, you're not allowed to not engage.
