One of the Worst Games I’ve Ever Bought
I’m honestly shocked by the amount of positive reviews this game has — either written by hardcore RuneScape fanboys blinded by nostalgia, or straight-up fake. The game is massively unbalanced, and the combat system is painfully bad.

Every monster is faster than you, even when you’re sprinting — and they’ll chase you nearly endlessly, across the entire map. It’s frustrating and feels completely untested. (just spam CTRL, and u will dodge autoamtically everything lol)

I kept playing, hoping it would get better — at least by the time I reached the tier 4 area. But no. That was the point where I finally had to quit… and that never happens. I usually finish even the worst trash games just to see them through.

With over 1,000 games in my library, this easily lands in my top 5 worst purchases of all time. It's a complete letdown, and I’m seriously disappointed I can’t refund it.

Stopped reading at this point. I’ve always managed to outrun them and they give up on you at a certain point after only 30 seconds of running away.

Who knows, maybe he has a bug where they endlessly chase. Jagex isn't actually known for their completely bug free experiences

So you weren't good at the game and that makes it bad? You've given zero input here to help the developers
You do realize this is EARLY ACCESS? I swear people have no idea what that even means nowadays..
A lot of clowns coming out into the discussion forums for this game istg

clowns like that just want a fully fleshed out game to be 100% perfect when they buy it regardless of EA or not. It's annoying as ♥♥♥♥. It gets more annoying the older you get and it starts to become insufferable and you realize its either a miserable person in their 30, or a kid who hasn't been out in the real world living paycheck to paycheck thinking they know literally anything about life by the time they're 18.

Rarely do this, but seriously you deserve a clown for this one.. Usually i respect people have their opinions, but this one is so far out of reach of reality, while ignoring so much surrounding the situation of the current state its actually a joke. Hence the clown.

1) This is VERY early access.. It's more like an Alpha version of a game, so balance isn't even going to be a consideration at the moment, which MOST people understand, hence the positive reviews (for now)

2) No, enemies don't run faster than you.. I've never had an issue out running them, ever.

3) No they don't follow you to the ends of the map.. They do break off, and it isn't that long of a distance.

4) You give absolutely zero feedback, just rant and cry about things that don't even actually exist, while ignoring this game is basically an Alpha version of a game, and wants to cry about balance to boot..

5) THis is your time to actually give meaningful and good feedback to make this game what you want it to be in the end.. The whole purpose of Early Access, and instead you cry over spilt milk, milk that doesn't even exist.
I never played Runecraft and I love this game.
lil bro got farmed by lvl 1 goblins hahahahaha.
The title was enough to know this person doesn't have a valid opinion.

It goes both ways. Valheim and Palworld both launched it better more complete states than this game has imo. Also Valheim is $10 less than this game.

This was my review, I wanted to like the game. After 19 hours I was like wtf, I think gamers are just so desperate for anything new that slop like runescape they are ok with.

1. The game just does nothing new in a open world crafting survival
2. progression systems is nothing new or exciting
3. Game is very small is design, even for EA. Feels boring and the joy drops off real fast once you see how small the map is and how boring it feels
4. Game needs major optimizing. Bloom and BLUR are garbage in the game and need removed.
5. Combat is very lack luster and basic/not really fun. Again like enshrouded magic range is OP and melee is terrible.
6. Enemy npc's have a small area they patrol and that's it, world feels very boring and uneventful
7. Overall just another basic dopamine check list game with a new name.

Valheim and Enshrouded do a massively better job for a game in this area and valheim is much cheaper with hundreds of hours of replayability as well as enshrouded, I would say spend your money their and just don't waste is on this game, sad to say.

Valheim was crap on release, don't pretend like the sailing is fun after doing it a couple of times, there is nothing to do when sailing other than kill the occasional serpent ( mostly just ignore ). The grind got horrible when reaching iron, mostly because you couldn't teleport with the ore, spending f------- 2 hours to sail back and forth to get enough iron to make armor. Also the stamina and skill level system in Valheim is garbage, the skills barely make a difference and you lose that progress when you die anyway. Also stamina depletes faster than George Floyd's drug storage

its from the same guys who ruined Runescape what did you expect? :steamfacepalm:
You know you can dodge/roll, when running? It makes avoiding attacks easier.
It is VERY early access. So of course there are a ton of balancing issues and bugs. If you expected anything else, that's on you.
I assume you had a bug, or are greatly over-exaggerating about the distance they chase you, because I just ran around a tower and I managed to outrun like 6 Garou. Early melee may be weak, but once you get to bronze and iron, it can outdamage magic and ranged. Just because you don't parry or dodge doesn't make for a bad game. And You complain that enemies "chase you forever" but also complain that "they have a small patrol area."
Most games have enemies that have small or nonexistent patrol areas. Fallout, Elder scrolls, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, MMOs like WoW, RS3, OSRS, other survivals like Valheim. I can't think of a game where enemies actual roam and patrol outside of a small area. So that one is an entirely irrelevant complaint.
