Oh, yay, THIS stupid topic again... It's Epic ONLINE Services, I.E. the crossplay servers a few thousand games on Steam lease them to facilitate online play. Other game makers/distributors use them as well. It is NOT Epic Games Store and you do NOT need an Epic Games Store account. You probably have dozens of games in your Library that use EOS already, Stop needlessly flapping.
