RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Open Lobby Trolls Steal and Delete Structures. (ADD LOCKS/PERM)
My ONLY complaint.

If you're playing in an open lobby with NO PVP , you still have people who JOIN and DELETE/STEAL your items, then leave.

- Add locks (doors, chests, possibly workstations)
- Add permission to build or destroy in an area

This RUINS the ability to play in an open server.

You're probably thinking , "yeah just play with your friends and add a password duh"

But all you literally have to do is add a little security to make online open lobby game play seamless.

AND ADD 8 PLAYER LOBBIES

This game will easily stay relevant with updates and newer map expansions.

Yes, I wrote a thread about this earlier. It's almost mind-boggling how big this oversight is, it completely ruins Public Play, in both PvP & Non-PvP - In PvP, if someone is to destroy your base, they should have to attack it, not just open a menu and click delete & get free resources. For Non-PvP, do I need explain how ridiculous it is?

The system is essentially designed to incentivise griefers to server hop to get free resources without facing resistance or penalties.
I've just been playing with friends, but I've kind of seen this on a lesser level. This explains where my shiny crafted weapons went, no doubt. I'm fine with friends taking spare weapons, because they're too lazy to craft them on their own, but damn... Didn't know you public lobby guys had it that rough. Shame on those who do that kind of thing.

I agree with those suggestions. Public lobby grief / trolling should be a punishable thing. Permissions to edit world structures and lock them would be a good start, but a blacklist is also needed for the host to ban unwanted players, I reckon.
Yeah, I joined some newbies lobby to warn him, and by the time he figured it out 2 different people came and destroyed his house. Like the first destroyed it, he rebuilt it in about a minute, and the next logged in and deleted it again.

I've posted this in several places and completely agree that this will ruin the gameplay if people are just going to hop in and delete/steal everything you've built. Until this is fixed, I will leave my 'world' locked out and possibly attempt to find trustworthy people to allow back in.

I also agree with the 8/8 or 16/16, with 'locks' on built items, so they cannot be deleted by anyone but the owner. You can even put in an abandonment clause that opens ownership to items where a person doesn't come back after 10 'real' days.
If you are willing to add me as a friend, I'm more than willing to start playing again.

Someone deleted my team's stuff today so I gave up.

If you don't want people to do this, easiest solution is just to private it and invite only people who know. But that obviously doesn't mean they should add protection elements for your stuff

I don't play online with people, but don't the settings in the game's Server page work? I pressed ESC to adjust some settings, and clicked on the Server page, and I see Ban, Kick, etc., so aren't those working yet?

Mind you, the game needs a Permissions setting for servers, where only people granted a level of Permission can interact with other player's stuff.

Question, do you play with 1 character? I never tried it. Or do you start with a new one when you go to another server?
Tachyon Apr 19 @ 7:32am
Characters and worlds are interchangeable. You can make a new world, send your main character there, do whatever and then log out, after which you can go back to your main world. Handy for killing bosses again or getting more Cores, etc.

You can make a new character and, in the same manner, visit your main characters world. If I wanted to host a world, I'd make a new world and use that for online play. Nothing to grief that way and you might find some trustworthy players while not risking your stuff.

Ah well that's great then I might hop in with my main to help/play with some people.
This way there is actually a point of progression regardless if you play alone or with others.

Thanks !

I don't have anyone who plays this game. If you want to add me on steam, I'd be more than happy to play with you.

How as a generation that watched the Internet grow up keep getting this wrong 😂. Playing with strangers on a public server, in a PvE game, where you can only have 4 of you doesn't make sense to me. You're asking to get greif. Play with your pals, play solo, or find people on pages like this/discord to play. You'll only find ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in public lobbies. You people have too much faith in humanity and you'll learn that in most cases they aren't worth putting faith in 😅.

Do you want to add me as a friend and play with me?
What on earth made you think that NOT making a separate save for public use was a good idea.
Always make a separate save for public use, even for friendly co-op.
