Please add a way to lock chests and doors!

I had built a nice base and such and opened my game up to public to have a nice experience with others just to have all my iron bars, vault cores and vault shards taken. I would really appreciate a way to lock chests or doors to prevent griefing.

This is a great idea! I for one want to see pvp servers and this will be a must for them as it is standard in a lot of survival games.

It's such a let down having such an amazing option, a way to meet people online, only to ruin it.

Even if you fought the troll, he could still get away with deleting your stuff and stealing it only to log out.

Just add the ability to craft a lock on workbenches, doors, and destroying anything not built by the creator (For the sake of PVP, add the ability to destroy things with weapons and TIME)

It's such a massive oversight it's almost unexcusable. The entire public play is redundant because of global build-editing / no-locks, etc. Public play has been reduced to a server-hopping thieving exercise, and it's so easy, they are basically incentivised to grief.

Oddly enough . . . Way back in 2002 I finally joined the rest of the world and built my first PC. One of the very first games I played was the original Runescape for a brief period and learned all about griefers, hackers and online *$$hat pvpers in that game! Funny how nothing has changed! Give the public a chance and 99% of the time they'll gut you in the blink of an eye. Jagex knows this well, too.
