Anyone know how the tree respawn system works yet?
Should i avoid getting rid of the trunks, or is it ok to remove the trunk as well? I'd welcome any information people have figured out so far on how trees respawn.

dont think anything regrows, better off making another world to all your woodcutting in,
nope I do hope they re-spawn! cut those vines they give good wood

Respawn seems random (2-5 days), but I don't think it matters if you cut down the trunk or not; eventually they regrow after a few days. Really handy for Oak trees around my base. Respawn seems slower if I'm spending days making a base and not leaving the local cell.

In my experience everything respawns eventually.

Even the vaults respawn and chests get new loot. Better yet is the levers you opened stay opened so farming cores is easier.

I'd say it take 3 or so in-game days, a week tops.

Looking forward to the farming update.

I agree with the above posts. The patch of trees I cut down always respawn in a few game days, as do the runestone nodes, berries, vegetables and even the treasure chest in the ruined village.

I think the only thing that is finite are vault shards since mobs don't those big blue rock dudes don't respawn.
