Hotkeys for spells

I have a whole row of keys from F1 to F12, on my handy-dandy PC keyboard, which would be great for Spell hotkeys. Could that option be added to the game, pretty please? The radial wheel is a bit slow to use, and spells also take time to cast on top of that. They're also easily interrupted, meaning you have to try yet again in a sudden, life-or-death situation.
