Gem drops bugged?

17+ hours in and still haven't found a single gem of any kind. I've tried everything, manual mining with pickaxes, rocksplosion, looting endgame chests in the poison place... still nothing. At first I thought maybe the drop chance was just quite low but now I'm almost certain the game is bugged out for me in some way, and gems just don't exist.

Posting this here in the hopes a dev comes across it and looks into the issue, as I've seen a few people saying the same thing. Game is otherwise great though!

There a bug when you hit level 50 mining the perk for gems dropping dont work , make a new character and farm gems from 16-49

Can confirm, made new character. same world. picked up a pickaxe and went to my tp spots. instantly got 6 jade, couple saphires, opals. etc.. very inconvenient bug

We found using a bronze pickaxe gave us plenty of gem drops but an iron pickaxe gave none, try switching back to bronze pick and see if that does anything to help.
