RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Is it worth getting Now or should I wait?
So I have a limited amount of money right now, until May 2......
but I am able to buy this game right now if I want.
And watching this dude play it, and learning more of it.
I really wanting to get it. BUT it being early access and all
Is it even worth getting right now or should I just wait

there's no downside for waiting, only an upside for waiting. You'll get a more complete game, probably at a better price depending on how long you wait, and it will most likely run better too.

I'd only recommend it getting it now if you know a group of people that want to party up to play it

Absolutely wait. Give it another year at least. I put in 17 hours and a good chunk of that was me just wasting time building a big house for no reason. You can 100% this game in 8 hours in its current state. There really isn't much to do yet. Minimal shallow quests, clunky combat, small map, very few enemy types, incomplete skill systems, etc.
100% wait. Its not enough value for what the price is rn. I just beat the main bad boss, did all side quests and dungeons in like 21 hours. Its got good bones but its no where near complete/polished.
got it wait.
and wow 8 hours to do everything..... and yea I saw magic skill leveling was not yet in it, and
Really a Small map....Hmm
Ok thanks, I'll stick Valheim then for the time being.

I don't believe you completed the game in 8 hours lol. Quit lying.

its really not that long if you only to main quest and ignore everything else. get bronze, go right to iron, end game.

Shroud streamed beating the final boss in a single play session. Boss killed at about 8.5 hours. Google it. It wasn't even a speed run, it was his first time playing it.

I did not claim that I beat it in 8 hours, I said you CAN complete it in 8 hours. I spent a lot of time dorking around building stuff.

What's the point of rushing a survival crafting game that's just entered early access? Are you really playing survival for the story? What's wrong with you, people. Take your time, just walk around, level up your skills, explore the map and resource locations, build houses, shortcuts, a teleport system, whatever. Yes, it's bare bones, but they're good bones.

Everyone plays for different reasons. The issue with your suggestion is that there is no compelling reason to grind skills in the game yet. I, for example, fully explored the building system, which is why I was able to put 17 hours into the game. I've done everything, seen everything, built everything, dropped several teleporters down, and there is simply nothing left to do now. The game doesn't just need finished game mechanics, it needs about 10x times as much content. And it may have that one day. For now I don't consider it worth the price or the time investment. Check back in a year.

I played the pre-alpha and I could've completed the currently available content in the game in 12-14 hours. I played for a total of 30 hours or so because I went completionist + started a new playthrough but realised there's 0 replayability.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not hurting for cash, but I understand the concept of not buying something in order to spend that money elsewhere. I'll buy something else for forty dollar. Hit me up when they finish their game.

It is always best to wait if you can, it doesn't seem like it has a lot of content for the asking price right now.

An Early Access game with limited content but a very high price tag... 30€ isn't worth it. Plus, without a launch discount, it seems a bit covetous.

I'm much less concerned about price with games than I am about the more important question "Is it fun". For me, right now, it's a no. So any price is too high for me. That being said, it's certainly not worth it for the current gameplay and content. There are cheaper and better games in this genre with much more content. It might be worth the asking price by release, but definitely not right now.

Wait until they at least add advanced graphics settings. If they do we'll know they actually give a ♥♥♥♥.
