"wheres my classic runescape random events?" well in lore, the random event guys retired. I'm sure they could add new original ones though.
"Why are goblins not dropping unequipable goblin mail?" ...becuase they're not wearing any?
"why is it copying a specific tier upgrade system?" cause it's a survival craft and needed to add a few extra lower tiers to extend the progression. you're also starting fresh on a new land nad not an established place like gilenor. you need to start from the barebones like barbarians of old.
"where aer my iconic locations". you're not in hte same lands as Runescape, you're on a new island.
"why is ash the first tree" see answer four
"wheres ice barrage? fire strike?" coming with the magic update i bet.
"wheres my pet cat?" future update i'm guessing. Pets and summons are probably coming in the future, they're iconic of survival crafts
I just see it as my old retired original RS2 character being summoned here and using most of their skills as "muscle memory" (why strength, def and stuff arent skills and they're so brutal with their attacks, use magic in creative ways etc)
Keep it runescape.
let me hit the tree and a log falls out, and if i keep hitting it it might fell the tree. It can have a nice falling animation as it already has, but then I want it to disappear and I move to the next tree.
The only reason I like the flying axe tree chopping magic is it short cutting the 3 stages of tree felling. Its fixing a problem that was created. A problem that could be solved. Tree chopping currently sucks without flying axe crap and splinter spell. and splinter is crap cause you cant get all the trees you just hit with the flying axe in the zone to splinter.
while I'm at it, Why is melee all in 1 skill. Why isn't there defense skill that gains xp when I block or parry attacks, upgrades could just reduce stamina usage when doing so. strength could do more then just hit harder it could increase your carry capacity. Strength would gain xp the same way attack would, but with a 2h sword you gain more Str xp, with a 1h sword you gain more Atk xp.
♥♥♥♥ like this isn't hard to brainstorm off a game that has been out for 24 years. The backbone is already laid out, why are we off paths with this crap of a Alpha released as a EA beta.
SO. WHy. The. F.u.c.k. Are. you. Complaining. To. US.
Get over it for ♥♥♥♥'s sake. It's not the MMO. It's a survival game. Yes ♥♥♥♥ will be different. OF COURSE IT WILL BE DIFFERENT. Are. you. an. Idiot????
Jesus.
No ♥♥♥♥ it'll be different, but you dont slap the title RUNESCAPE on it and expect EVERYTHING to not FOLLOW 24 YEARS of backbone laid out. Are you dumb? Nobody would have an issue if this was just called "Dragonwilds: Survival" or something.
There is NOTHING runescape about this game.
IT EARLY ACCESS RELEASE NOT ALPHA ENGINE TESTING.
WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE ALPHA TESTING.
THEY ALREADY DID ALPHA TESTING.
Nobody is COMPLAINING TO YOU, YOU HAPPEN TO BE READING FEEDBACK THEY ASKED FOR. I ADDED TO WHAT OP SAID, you on the other hand are just insulting cause you can't comprehend why a RUNESCAPE title DOESNT FEEL LIKE RUNESCAPE AT ALL.
I've played runescape for 20 years, I've played Valheim and all other Survivals, this game however misses the mark by a mile and we don't want them to go down the wrong path.
I WANT RUNESCAPE VALHEIM
Wow what a high IQ comment. You have anything intelligent to add?
You can literally get an abyssal whip right now in the game.
Learn to work hard for it. Do you think new OSRS players unlock rune scimmys after a few hours of playing?
"dam it guys we need more Runescape... quickly slap a Abyssal Demon in the game that drops the whip everyone knows of. Where should we put it? Just plonk it in the swamp and make it roam and make it level 4. Easy."
Why can't they just do this more, Slayer master to hunt the Abyssal Demon, or add more iconic monsters like the Kalphite Queen that drops a Dragon 2H or Fire Giant that drops Rune Scimmy.
No, instead lets spend dev time coding and developing some random ass monster no one has heard of and isn't even in Runescape. Make it drop the next tier resources instead of anything Runescapey
"Why am I not fighting the Dragon with Rune/Addy armour with a Rune scimmy?"
It's early access, we don't even have Rune yet, but I anticipate we will before the end of the development, and probably more.
"Wheres my classic runescape random events?"
Those have been retired for years, and even in lore they're retired. This games lore is after the events of RuneScape 3, so there's plenty reason to understand why the Random Event NPCs don't appear.
"Why are the goblins not dropping unequipable goblin mail?"
They drop in RuneScape for quest purposes. If they were to drop in RSDW, we would need a reason.
"Why is it copying Valheim/Enshrouded with the tier progression - leather/bone/bronze/iron etc..., why is it not like Runescape's "
I mean it kinda is doing both. Aside from the Stone/Bone starting point, Bronze and Iron are literally the first 2 points of progression for RuneScape. I expect the next will be Steel, then Mithril, Adamant, Rune, etc. We only have a few tiers right now because it's early access. I actually find this point most amusing because you want it to follow RuneScape's progression tier, yet don't want it to copy Valheim... When both have the same metal tier progression lol. I don't mind we start with Stone/Bone, have to start somewhere.
"Where are my iconic locations, why cant we explore Varrock/Lumby?"
New continent called Ashenfall. Its still in Gielinor, but we started in a brand new previously unknown area. That's the lore. Who knows though maybe we'll get the ability to go to other areas in later development.
"Why is Ash the first tree and not just a normal runescape tree?"
Technically Ash trees ARE the normal trees in RS. They just aren't called Ash by name and just "Tree". But in some quest dialog you can hear some NPCs refer to the basic wood as "ash wood". Either I'm kinda glad they gave the first trees a name because Tree is too generic.
"Wheres my Ice Barrage or Fire Strike?"
We already have Fire strike! If you have Fire Runes already, just click them to select Fire spells, but Ice Barrage probably not anytime soon unless they give us a way to learn Ancient Magicks on the new continent. Since this continent's primary gods are the new one and Bandos historically, we'll probably see more ancient magic based on Dragonkin rather than Mahjarrat.
"Wheres my pet cat?"
We'll probably get pets at some point, I imagine the Summoner skill will make it in too. Idk about cats, but hey who knows. Again it's still early access.
And no it doesn't feel like someone just slapped a RuneScape label on the title lol.
It does feel like RuneScape still at least lore wise. Honestly it's what I imagine when I think of what RuneScape playing like a modern game would be like.
There's plenty there to tell you about the game's lore from the little miniquests, to the Lore books, and even the items you can find in game. The Staff of Light for example shows a bunch of lore in its description about its creation that we didn't even learn in RS3.
To think that Duke Horacio has like millions of Antidragon shields lying around to sell to players for a thousand GP, and to make one from scratch is absolute hell. It really shows how much Dragonkin technology we are unaware of in RS3.
But again the game is still Early Access, it looks unfinished because it is unfinished. If we were to assume they will eventually add Rune gear (which we all know they will), then we are looking at about 10-15% of the game. This is not even considering that they may even add further tiers than just Rune, all the way up to T-90 or T-100 gear. We have no idea what they have planned for us, but I'm loving what we got so far.
