RuneScape: Dragonwilds

RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Day 1 Review
Pros:

Magic solves so much of the normal survival crafting tedium.

Magic in general is super fun and feels impactful.

Dungeons are in a good place, short, sweet, a bit of a challenge.

Game feels good. Movement, animations, all feel polished for the most part.

Recipes are simple, but keep all areas of the map relevant.

Quests are fun

Leveling is awesome

Cons:

Progression is weird, you need to suicide run to gather in an area to unlock the gear to fight in that area.

Multiple enemy combat is miserable and most enemies spawn in groups.

Enemies are just as fast as your full sprint and have predictive lunging attacks.

NPC raids, even at the lowest level will demolish your base to nothing in a very short amount of time.

There is no griefing protection at all, if you play on a server with anyone, they have access to all of your chests and can delete your buildings just like their own.

The game does not really explain things well or teach things well.
An example for that one is poison. The first time you encounter an enemy with poison you will likely die. Then you will get the first poison resistance item you find, which is mushroom stew, which doesn't reduce the damage at all and they will still poison you in one hit, and you still die. So how do you get an anti-poison? Good luck.

Environmental Damage is very annoying. Lighting strikes landing while you're mid enhanced jump, or when you're trying to read a quest to see what to do next, or while you're casting a mining spell. The dragon's attacks last way too long, and cover way too much of the ground in poison.

Armor functions as a bigger health bar that is just way more annoying to heal.

Despite ranged skills not being in the game yet, archer is incredibly strong, and it's easy to cheese almost any fight with kiting.

Either stealth is just not implemented at all or is incredibly weak, enemies seem to just know you're close without even looking.
