It says everything it needs to in it's description.
No they answered you quite well actually. As old as you are I know you can read man.
The description describes EXACTLY the difference between Runescape and Runescape Dragonwilds, it's not a DLC, it's not an update, it's an entirely different gameplay loop, different engine, different graphic fidelity, completely different game genre
It takes maybe watching some videos, or looking at the pictures on the steam page to see the immediate difference. I can't tell you if you're mad you have to buy this game, or because it's not an update?
They already made some bad decisions in Runescape, and this is a nice change of pace, it's a good game, even more so for Early Access, but why would they replace Runescape, an iconic game that a huge portion of the world enjoys and loves, stop supporting it, stop updating it, remove it entirely with this?
The difference is the original Runescape is an MMO, this isn't even close to an MMO, I'm certain that if you tried to run a 50 player server, it'd crash fairly consistently, it's not "massively multiplayer" just by genre alone.
Either way, I hope this maybe gave you some light on the differences?
No idea what OSRS is but the description sounds like this is 'more' Runescape and I didnt care for Runescape. Having to go around and do research it seems like this is a stand along game that really has nothing to do with Runescape.
How the game was presented was not a great way to sell it. They are super lucky that it seems to have caught on with streamers or at the very least they paid streamers to play it.
Runescape is an MMORPG, this is just a game built in the RuneScape universe, that seems kinda like saying....is marvel rivals just a new update to Marvel vs Capcom the arcade game?
anyways game currently lacks content as is right now in EA but will be a great game, check back in like 2030 if you still alive and see the full game it will be dope.
It literally tells you, " in this co-operative (1-4) survival crafting game". It's telling you that it's a new co-operative (1-4) survival crafting game. If you don't understand how to read that, then that is on you my guy.
