Campfire/stove needing roof in fully built house

Title says it mostly, I have built my house and adjusted it to try to make sure theres a roof on the campfire/stove but it still says it needs a roof to work. my other crafting devices work and ive moved the cooking stuff 3 times now.
I even made a separate room just for them and it still says it needs a roof. Am I missing something or is it just bugged?

It says "must NOT be covered by a roof", you need to have it outdoor

I believe it's the other way around, campfire and stove shouldn't have a roof over it.

re-read it, I thought the same thing at first due to the wording but it actually says "must NOT be covered by a roof to work"

crazy right? but the brewing cauldron HAS TO BE under a roof, and it also has AN OPEN CAMPFIRE under it

my issue was with the cooking station, while the campfire is logical to have outside the cooking station, should probably let me cook inside under my roof lol
