If you enjoy Valheim or similar types of games then I would say it's a good investment. The content right now is lacking for long-term play unless you have friends and enjoy building bases.

ive played just about every survival open world type game, and this one is pretty good so far i think its still got alot that needs to be added in the roadmap at this point though.

As someone that did play runescape, theres no crossing nostalgia that seals the deal, infact i kind of missed the runescape part.
The only refference ive seen is that your character wears the same color clothes as a tutorial island character.

And thats it.
Nothing else is close to canon.
