dude i cant build higher than 4 stories
for whatever reason i put support beams and it doesnt do nothing

I assume this is another feature lacking from this EA experience. I'm sure they will work on the building in this game, and it will be better in the future. This is pretty typical for EA games.

It is weird to have structural stability in a game without having the ability to improve its stability, though.

This is a survival game in the universe of RS, stop taking it as literal RS.
This is wear Valheim building shines, you can free build all pieces, everything in this game is locked to an edge. ;/

I’ve managed to reach the second floor, but the structure is still unstable after that and I can’t push any higher. I’ve tried every tier‑1 support beam. I dumped 400 wood logs into beams looking for something to work, and that accidentally unlocked tier 2, yet I want to keep the whole build strictly tier 1 but it doesn't let me finish it
