Grinding/ leveling/ crafting

Do i also slowly level up things as i do them? I actually like the leveling system of old runescape i was wondering if its the same or more steamlined

Yes, it's actually a little too generous - you'll gain woodcutting XP for picking up logs, and mining XP for picking up rocks, even ones that you did not cut down.

in the grand scheme the xp from picking is minimal like 1-3xp its more for rebuild resources if somehow you cant loot your gravestone. im nearing 30s in alot of stats and it slows down a ton.

The leveling and progression are exactly like RS, but the first 25 levels or so will come very quickly, after that it will begin to slow down. About four hours into the game as of this writing and approaching lv40 in some skills, but it's really starting to slow down now. I get the feeling they will nerf progression later as it does feel a bit fast.
