planks?

does anyone know how to make planks i have never been so lost in a game like this

all i have used is the ash logs in building mode no planks required

Sawmill makes planks, bronze bars make sawmill.

Thank you the game really does the valheim approach where you dont know an item or crafting building exists until you find the material for it. I assumed the planks were like the magic/ranged skill tree where it wasnt fully done yet.

Hey sorry i made a shoot my foot reply have only just come across the need for planks. Me thinks been spending too much time on rebuilding lol.

hmm, get a bronze hatchet and chop down an oak (I think, can't remember exactly)
Lots of stuff get available going past the swamp biome and into the 3rd, whatitsname biome. There you will strugle and 'diealot' but after some time you will have copper and tin and stuff seem to get going.
And with some bronze gear trhe swamp will be mostly easy
