Your thoughts on Leveling and Skills?
Do you think we XP too fast? The things we unlock with skills, are they interesting enough?

They are not interesting, and that's why the fast leveling doesn't bother me.
im really enjoying it!
Too fast leveling
I agree with everyone saying the levelling is a bit too fast, but also there's really not enough reward/incentive in the skill trees yet to really justify putting in any sort of significant grind.

I think once there's more things to do in the game that would require skills I'd be a little happier with the XP rates being lowered, or at least scaling more like you see in the MMO, just so long as the content it unlocks is spread out evenly enough to keep you engaged whilst training it.

Its not an MMO. This is the kind of game you start over 100s of times

Leveling's fine, maybe a bit fast but depends if it remains fast for the late levels.

Unlocks & Skills need work, very little customization to make the character feel like its your own other than just leveling weapon skill. The skills that do unlock feel like tutorial unlocks. Runes are a bit off putting too, feel like ill always be saving them and not using because they run out pretty quick when using for gathering/fighting.

Would be nice if there was points to put into a skill tree / stat points that can make the levels more engaging.

I am definitely not suggesting the XP rates should be anywhere near MMO levels, but rather I'm a considerable way to maxing out some skills and I'm still in the early stages of the game and have just been passively levelling whilst gathering resources as I go along. I feel like once I reach the end of the game's current content I'll be pretty close to maxed out entirely and then when new mechanics are introduced I won't need to interact with them since I levelled up so quickly from just the basic stuff.

In my opinion the sweet spot would be that you still gain a decent amount of experience by just using the skills as you go along, but there should be rewards further up the skill tree that would justify going out of your way to spend a bit of time to reach a milestone. For example, maybe I'd get enough Runecrafting XP from just playing to be able to unlock runes that match the spells I'm unlocking as I progress, but if I decided to commit an hour to runecrafting I'd eventually unlock something like higher rune:essence conversion rates or a % chance for something like empowered runes that cause spells to have added effects.
No, leveling is never too fast, getting past the grind is a good thing.

Contrasting opinions like this is why I hope we get sandbox settings soon (hopefully alongside dedicated servers) so we can just tweak the XP rates ourselves - best of both worlds
Bad. Bad. Bad. Too much XP is rewarded from doing too little. I wouldnt mind like 1 XP from picking up sticks but it's stupid that you get so much rn. The fact that there's no Herblore is really surprising and very disappointing. If they ever implement farming, harvesting redberries should reward a little XP. And why is it called attack and not something like melee? How could there be attack without strength???

It should have been called archery and carpentry instead of ranged and construction. And the way you just "know" how to craft runes and somehow able to summon ANY runic energy is really dumb. Not intuitive at all to non-scapers
