Game will not launch?? - NOT Solved-
I press play and nothing happens, I can stop the game but the game never opens.
I've tried verifying game files, reinstalling and running as admin.
None of this seems to make the game launch.

Anyone know the fix to this issue?

Edit: I finally found the fix!! Here is what you need to do.

Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\App Data\Local\RSDragonwilds \Saved\Config\Windows Folder.
Here look for GameUserSetting.ini file and open it via Notepad.

Next Look for ResolutionSize and LastUserConfirmedResolutionSize.

Then you want to set it to 1920x1080 (or your screen resolution) (I think mainly it needs the correct aspect ratio of your monitor)

Here are the exact lines of code that fixed the problem for me.

ResolutionSizeX=1920
ResolutionSizeY=1080
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeX=1920
LastUserConfirmedResolutionSizeY=1080

Hopefully this works for you too :)

Edit: So after playing for a while and I close the game. Now Im back with it not launching............
I re saved this file then it worked again.
But on the 3rd time I go to play the game this method is not working anymore....

its very odd, I just tried updating my graphics drivers, still dose not open the game, I also seen some stuff about epic games, so I tried to have epic open while pressing play, still nothing.

PC specs:
Win 10
ryzen 9 5900x
3080 12gb
32gb ddr4 ram

Im kinda lost at this point, I dont see any fixes.
Any help is much appreciated :)

I also just tried to connect my steam to epic games, still nothing.... :/
I have also waited 20 mins to see if it would eventual work, but nope still no game opening...

hmm give the error message a google, you might find something there, I havent even got that far lol.

The next few thing that I tried is, restarting my pc, going into the game files, running EpicOnlineServicesInstaller.exe and InstallEOSServices.bat as admin.

Im not sure at this point it feels like a game issue, and im already at 40mins play time without the game opening.... im not even going to be able to rerun it if it dose not work before too long.... Like I dont want to return it, but if I cant play it, I would like my money back.... this just sucks..

Im surprised that more people is not having this issue and found a fix, so it dose not seem like its the game but idk at this point.

Off topic but its also supper annoying not being able to find help on here just everyone complain about gays.... im not gay btw, just want to play the dang game...

So I did just notice in task manager that its running on 32 bit and im on a 64bit pc, so idk if that is the problem.

But I did find away to report the problem to jagex, hopefully they can help me out. Ill post the solution when or if I get it...

Hey, if you have an Nvidia card, a lot people state they have better results rolling back their graphic's drivers to December of 2024. If you have an I13 or I14, update your mobo's bios if you haven't already.

ye the bios update is the last resort. I checked it im on the seconed from the latest one other than the betas, so idk if I should use the betas and take the chance or try the one thats only a month newer than the one that I have installed.

I have an asrock b450 mobo and im on 5.60

should I try the newest one thats a beta or should I go with L8.02

Working in graphic design we never use the betas for stability reasons, so im a bit timmied to use the newest one.

Updating bios is annoying, so I always stick to stable releases unless they specifically state there is a defect with the release. I should add any bios update after August of 2024 should patch the heating issue with I13s and 14s.

Yeah looking at the page, you have to use a beta bios for the CPU protection patch. It doesn't matter if it's beta, this is to protect your CPU. I only learned about it when WoW started calling me a ƒucking idiot every time I launched for not updating my bios.

For anyone else over the 2 hour mark troubleshooting the game, Steam will refund the money to your Steam Wallet for technical issues like this. You just have to be verbose with them when asking for the refund. They are more reluctant if asking for the actual cash back rather than adding the funds into your Steam Wallet.

dang.. it still dose not work... I decided to go with the newest beta because fk it, I lowkey need a new mobo for the new series of processors.

But this bios update still did not work..
Im at 62 mins of play time ik the cutoff for returns is 2h.

I guess the last thing that I can try is reverting to old drivers...

I just tried reverting my graphics card drivers to the 2024 versions, and still nothing.

I legit don't get it, I can usley solve any pc problem pretty quickly, but this one has stumped me. ive been trying to figure this out for the last 6 hours trying everything.
idk what to do other than wait/pray for jagex to help me.

But I have no hope as they always send automated emails back in past experiences in playing runescape. I tried to join the discord but you have to be verified to talk in there and I use straighttalk where I believe they reuse phone numbers no my phone is connected to a different account and I cant even talk in there or try to get this verified.

You would think that there would be a moderator in this chat to help us out. but no why would they do that....

Im about over this and im going to give up on ever playing this game.
Smh wasted 6h of my life.....
