thats how you should be looking at this
it doesnt need to be a mmo to succeed, but with good content / design and and mod-ability / tool set. and with most games by default now sort of scale up or down with enemy stats depending on amount of players in game or area in the vicinity.
but we all know a lot of companies don't like to do this due to there bottom line which = $$$
I just wish the maximum players were higher so I could share it with more friends, if we look at big survival games as an example, don't starve(6 players), valheim(10 players) and the forest(8 players)
Guilds can have there own independent progression and everyone can play. It would open the door to online public servers as well. A huge portion of the survival craft gerne is creative expression with PVE builds. Entire community's exists in all similar games where people just build cities and write there own stories. Set in a fancy world in the runescape universe? PVE RP players will flock in droves, especially with those beautiful visuals liken to valheim.
