While it could be a secondary feature to have, this isn't a skillers game, it's a survival game. The focus should be combat based progression much like Valheim and other popular survival games. If they deviate from this, the title is bound to be unpopular and unappealing.

If you look at the store page under the About This Game section, the first words are literally (in all caps) GRIND SKILLS, SLAY DRAGONS.

So skilling is clearly going to be a big part of this game.
i mean if they give cool bonuses it gives you something to work for so i wouldn't mind, and as its coop they could make it a lot more powerful on that front cuz there isnt a fine mmo balance.
YES omg i would love to rock skillcapes in this 3d 3rd person runescape, i've seen there's levels for woodcutting/construction ect. so i don't see why they can't throw a cool cosmetic when you max the skill <3
