Steam Deck playability
Will this aim to be playable (60fps+) on Steam Deck? The current minimum system requirements as well as using Unreal Engine have me worried. I don't care about the fancy lighting and such if the game is unplayable. Hopefully the settings can be turned down a lot. I would also recommend testing at a higher than (Deck) native res, like 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 to account for docked play with monitors and TVs. I play my Deck almost exclusively docked. I am glad to see controller support is already being considered, at least.
The mention of an Epic account does concern me, but I see plenty of threads about that already, and none mentioning the Deck, so here I am.

Played the Alpha of this, and seemed to run fine on the deck, however there was no settings setup for the deck, so unless they've added that you'd need to configure/set that up yourself! Didn't play through the entire game on the deck however, so I can imagine some areas might be worse/more laggy than others on the deck!

I played the entire alpha on steam deck had no issues. At the time it wasn't optimized for steam deck so no it didn't at at 60 fps but I imagine upon final release it could be. Still it ran just fine even playing with others
When I hit the button to craft on deck it won’t work for some reason.

I'll download it on my Steam Deck and check it out before my refund goes through. The game launched fine on my desktop Linux system, but performance isn't great at the moment. A 60 FPS target is probably out of the question for now.

Yeah performance is all over the place under Endeavour on my desktop PC.

Tried it on the ROG Ally under Windows and wasn't able to pass 20 FPS in the startup.

I also wonder how it runs on steamdeck. If anyone tries it, let me know. I dont have a gaming pc so hopefully its playable even on low settings i dont mind.

I've given it a try and it does run, but not very well. It seems to settle between 22 - 30 FPS most of the time with very poor image quality. GPU is pegged at 99% usage.

It looks like they plan to support Steam Deck at some point because there is a preset in the graphics options specifically for Steam Deck. Unfortunately I was unable to tweak the settings further as the game seems to be locked to that preset, unless I'm missing something.

Seeing as of how it's an Unreal Engine game, just forget about Steam Deck compatibility. UE is for either artists or REALLY good programmers. There's no in-between, and there's very rarely a good programmer hired onto these studios nowadays.
