Ending is kinda grim. She lost hope, she understand that all is a lie, she has nowhere to go.

In one scenario, she'd be caught for killing priest and hanged or sent to prison in Siberia (like Dostoevsky's characters). In other, she cannot return to family, she cannot return to monastery, she has no money, husband or veritable background, she is done for (I remind that this is Russia at the end of XIX century, single girl out of family is doomed). Unless some miracle happen (which game obviously displayed is not what's gonna happen), she'd be a prostitute and/or suicide.

That's fking depressing... I have seen some Russian theatre plays. This game reminds me of them.

I mean...you want a happy ending - you shouldn't be playing games like this at all :) This game depicts Russian realities of those days to some degree (even though things happen in alternative Russia). People are mean, everybody tries to get something out of something. Using everybody to get what they want. I mean - you've seen those nuns...bullying Indika for being different...instead of helping her with faith - they literally started her downfall...

possible outcomes:
-Ilya dies from spirit (alcohol) overdose or gets caught and goes to jail again for stealing something again...

-Indika...tough one. Loses faith completely, but she's not that bad person (yet..or still?), she still can find some way to survive...the simplest one would be (as mentioned above) becoming a w_h0re, but there are other things she could do...she's smart, can operate machinery (the only problem that back then women were nothing but tools for men...cooking, cleaning, etc, so they won't let her operate anything, besides kitchen utensils). I don't know...I'd love to see what happens to her next...

She let the devil convince her that he doesn't exist, and at the same time, she lost her faith in Jesus and is damned.

I thought the ending gave off vibes of loosing faith, accepting her humanity - once she got the wealth she wanted from the pot, she lost her self image of being a demon and looked human. She accepted her flaws? Its a very human outlook huh - but yea, as said above - id put money on her leaving the shop.

It was "get hanged or get f****d" in this situation, quite literally. She was locked in there to get executed soon. I mean ask yourself what's more precious to you, your life or your purity.

Let's also add, that she didn't offer THAT straight away. She asked, what the guard wanted in return of letting her go and he chose THIS from a NUN. He knew she was desperate, took advantage of it and would've still let her die the next day with a grin on his face. So you tell me who'm we should actually call out for sins and crimes.

And yes. It was r**e. Letting it happen especially if you don't really want to do it is not consent. She was dissociating during the entire thing, having an internal monologue in which she despised herself.

Must've been soo much fun, surely she's a harlot huh? /sarcasm off/

As to what happens to her after the ending of the game, we can only guess. I think she left the city and either went back to her father or found work elsewhere (in a factory, farm or shop) and now leads a more peaceful life. I would like that ending for her.

This whole thing is 100% how I see it.

The rape apologia is wild. The fact anyone could see it as anything other than rape is really depressing. Shows a total lack of understanding about almost the whole game.
