Sorry but this is not my experience. I have a 32:9 monitor, and even though ultrawide resolution does seem to be supported in the settings menu, the implementation is incorrect because it removes vertical FOV rather than adding horizontal FOV. The result is the game is extremely zoomed in in a way that looks awful and makes the game unplayable, even with the FOV slider all the way up.

Can you please add proper Hor+ support to increase horizontal FOV rather than just zoom in?

@michaelzee1 there is a fov adjustment in the game's settings menu.

My issue is, there are black bars on cut scenes. I really hate when devs do this. It doesn't do anything but take away from the experience.

I saw the FOV adjustment, but it only goes up to 110 and still appears zoomed-in. The beginning sequence was near unplayable too because even that was zoomed in.

Try this , should work ,worked for me

Add this to the bottom of the engine.ini

[/script/engine.localplayer\]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio\_MaintainYFOV

That's what I usually do actually but could you please point out where the engine.in file is for this game? It wasn't in the usual location in AppData

The fix is so easy, but devs are just so lazy.
Those black bars are part of forced HUD.
Download UnrealEngine 4 unlocker, attach it to the game process, then press the toggle HUD key and viola!
But you will need to toggle HUD again if you wish to see the objective marker and the menu.

Hey tommy.
Could you actually add this setting (AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV):
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Engine:Unreal_Engine_4#Field_of_view_.28FOV.29
to the game default configs?
As of Unreal Engine 5.3, Epic finally changed the FOV scaling default behaviour to Hor+, so all UE future games should be ultrawide friendly:
https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/pull/9004/
feel free to contact me if you need help, I'm a UE dev focused on Ultrawide support.

Any updates on actual ultrawide support? I see that full ultrawide support is claimed to be there, but I am also seeing the issue of Hor+ being severely reduced to account for wider resolution. This is resulting in seeing less of the game rather than more of it with the wider screen. I added the script mentioned above to the engine.ini I found in /Appdata/Local/INDIKA/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor but it didn't change anything

I wrote the devs about this but didn't get an answer. It should be trivial for them to fix it.

Not working properly sadly, it cuts top & bottom of the screen instead of adding horizontal fov.

Any updates on actual UW support? Just because the resolution is accepted it doesn't exactly mean UW is supported. FOV scaling needs to be proper. The solution is very simple. The amount of ultrawide games is pretty high in 2024.
