I'm sorry to tell you that you'll probably still have a better time of it relying on the subtitles :steamfacepalm:

After replaying the first few hours again but with English voices, I'm just upset at how little effort seems to have gone into matching the tone of the character interactions and story being told. (it doesn't even come close). You can't just use an English accent as a 1:1 drop-in replacement for vulnerability and uncertainty those characters feel get across beautifully.

I promise, I'm not nagging the game, game's actually great, story is deep and will make you reach quite far for it. But if you happen to know someone who's bilingual, just ask them to watch the min long launch trailer in both languages, see what they'll have to say after.

P.s. Also ask them about the significance of sitting on the benches and looking around, it's such a tiny thing, but so deeply engrained in the culture, don't even know how it can be relayed someone from a different region and background.
