FMVs not playing in Bloodrayne 2: Terminal Cut
So I have it on GOG here, and I decided to post it here sense I haven't seen this issue come up anywhere else. The FMVs are not playing, they skip to the gameplay without any input from myself.

I made sure all of the drivers I had were up to date, I tried widescreen and original modes for viewing the cutscenes, I messed around the resolution options and even switched off GOG's overlay but I keep getting the same result. The game plays well enough, sure, (and I do applaud the effort for it.) but the cutscenes seem to be not showing at all. For example, I start a new game. The slide showing the location and date of the particular level shows, but after where the cutscene is supposed to show, it skips all the way to the gameplay without any input from myeslf, just a brief flick or flicker and then goes to the start of the level.

I have no idea what's causing it or how to fix it. The Original BloodRayne 2 Cutscenes work perfectly for me and the game does in general but in BloodRayne 2: Terminal Cut, they don't. I don't know if anyone else is having the same problem? If anyone could enlighten me on the issue, it would be appreciative, until then though I'll be patient.

SRT files are subtitle files.

You should have BIK files in the videos folder.(Since those are the cutscene files.)

Verify the game files. Has the GoG downloader downloaded the cutscenes ?

You can see them in the video folder.

I see a bunch of .srt files in there. I did the verify/repair option in GOG for it but it still didn't work.

There should also be some video files there that you can play with a media player.

If they are not there then it means that for some reason the game hasn't installed the cutscenes.(Hence why the game doesn't show any cutscenes, because cutscene files aren't available.)

I believe you are correct. They are not in there at all, It doesn't seem like it anyway. I tried re-installing it but nothing happened. It doesn't look like it's anything on my end unless GOG Galaxy is being weird or something like that.

Oh well, I guess I'll just go back to the original I guess, probably return to Terminal Cut once I've seen everything all the way through and am fine with just the gameplay in the Remastered version. Thanks.

So I also have it on GOG and dprog is right, GOG galaxy didn't install the FMV's properly, but if you move the SRT files from where there are into the video folder, it should work properly. I tried that this morning and it has worked flawlessly since.

Really? I'll have to try that.

Ohhh okay, thanks for telling me. And yes I do have those files, just didn't know those were the files I was looking for.

Update, it is indeed the BIK Files that were missing that was causing the issue. Case closed. Thanks for the help!
