The labyrinth under Prune is a spot that felt like it dragged on a bit since you go through it for 4 separate things: Once to get to HQ, once to get the block chain, from the block chain, you can continue on to find BJ if you started going the right way from the beginning, and lastly to get to the Darknet.
could you share some more details on your mentioned basement?
Do you mean the tunnel/labyrinth?
What is the respective task? Freeing BJ?
In order to get proper help by us and the community, more details would be really appreciated.
Not to mention: there are several threads already open and with the respective hints and even solutions, what to do and how.
Therefore, best would be having a look and/or give more details.
Thank you in advance.

did @WeissRook's advice helped already, or where are you currently stuck and what have you done so far?

1. Save.
2. Pick a door direction.
3a. If it goes to a different room. Save.
3b. If it goes to the beginning. Load from Save.
4. Pick a different door direction.
5. Repeat until you get to location.
Saving and Loading only takes a second. In the original games of Sierra, this how it was always done.
thank you John Lambo, as always.
Please keep it up!
-cheers
Just to be sure...Did you switch your map with Commander Lefto?
yes, the maze is quite challenging, however, we took the feedback from Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry serious, as players wanted a more challenging game, what we thought we have in more than one occasion have achieved with Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice.
-cheers
Yes, I also had almost no sound clue when looking for the dark net and I could not make sense of the visual clues. So I did the reload trick 3-4 times but I kept getting back to BJ's cell, where the dialog would replay even though he was already rescued. Finally I got it, but I was almost ready to give up. This puzzle would have been ok if it was not buggy. However it is very annoying to look back and forth to the paper in the inventory, often multiple times per room.
Apart from that, the game is great fun. My only other complaint would be that there are too many puzzles that rely on colors. I am slightly colorblind and I have trouble seeing if a small dot is green or red or if a small flower is blue or purple.
