Stuck on splash screen

Recently bought this on summer sale and after booting it up the game does not move past the splash screen =x
The text say press start i press some key, the game makes a (i guess a menu selection) sound the text changes from "making new save" to "loading game"
but there's nothing happening.
the game does react to me pushing buttons with the same sound and moving between the text but not sure that should happen.

Hi Dracologist, have you tried restarting the game and did that fix it?

It sounds like it might have been stuck trying to make a new save file. Let me know if restarting works, else I can have a deeper look.

I did try and it got stuck again... =x
now mention that my pc setup is a bit old it could run most things but it uses Win7 as OS and that might be causing some hiccups if that's a possibility

Ah that's nuisance - I've just had a look and you may be on to something, it seems the game engine (Unity) is having trouble saving files to your machine, though for some reason the error log is incomplete. It might be worthwhile uninstalling and reinstalling again.

If that doesn't work we might be able to delete your save file and start from scratch though I'm keen to figure out what went wrong!
