What should I do if my airport is maxed but it is full?

My airports are maxed for 2 cities, however the cities are full and I'm losing -30% profit. How do I fix this?

Best thing you can do is route more planes between your maxed out airports and their most popular routes, or create new routes altogether.

You didn't say what cities, but you have too much traffic going through a choke point. Instead of maxing airports, which is very expensive, figure out how to add another lane. For example if you have only Washington D.C. to Madrid, then how is South America getting to Europe? Add another path from Valencia or Georgetown to Madrid as well. This will greatly reduce how much traffic is going to North America. Add a third channel from South America to Africa. Also be mindful of how far your path is. If it is too far, a huge amount will funnel through that channel because it is the shortest path. Even maxed planes won't be able to keep up.
