DLC - How are ya'll getting money
What have you found the best strategy here. Single planes with upgrades between sites? Multiple smaller planes?

And VIPs, are you selling other flight paths to ensure VIP delivery? Is it worth the money to do that?

I'm struggling to get past 6 states, so any help would be... helpful.

The struggle is real. I feel like there's not a balance of money in the DLC. Hopefully it'll get worked out in an update.

well its harder than the OLD discover the world
I tried everything - rng killed 2 very good runs - disabling a major hub
13 states is my best try so far
If you get the wrong first event - Game over.
If you get Paducah as one of your first four cities - Game over.
If you get Virginia, Missouri or Illinois as your first state to expand to - Game over.

Any kind of success depends on a couple lucky RNG rolls: Good/neutral events, well-timed VIP, getting Tennessee or Indiana as your first expansions.

This game mode, in its current state, is NOT FUN.

even then it is allmost impossible - passengers increase, not enough money to upgrade or buy new planes, constant time pressure and unlucky events or unlucky random next state
one time a had a very good run - 2k money to spare - rng hit me with the lawyer event - all 2k gone - about 1k for the lawyer and 1k for the fine
the run was over
I stop trying until it is balanced

sorry for my bad english

I think this game needs difficulty modes. Current = hard mode. Normal mode would be: more money per flight, cheaper planes, cheaper routes. Easy mode: even more money, cheaper planes and cheaper routes and no negative events. For example.

Agreed it’s brutal and it feelsnoutbofnyour control

You need transit airports and then a country hub that is connected to the transit ports with quick arrivals. This way you get people away from where the large arrivals come in as fast as possible and you can focus on upgrading the transit airports
