Our community manager, Ezra, is a soft touch and a nice guy—he's convinced me to extend the deadline one more week, since folks hadn't seen it. So, here it is:

if you have the original Reckless or Awesome, you can get a free copy of Aaaaa! Remastered free until next Friday, February 2nd, at 5pm EST. Here's how:

1. Grab a screenshot of either Reckless or Awesome in your Steam library.
2. Retweet our announce tweet (or post to Mastodon!), and grab a screenshot of that.
3. Email those to [e-mail] before Feb 2nd at 5pm EST.

Can't this be fully automated via Steam? That's computers role...

For some other games, I did get either free upgraded versions without such administrative burden work. Or just extra fidelity discount (ok too), but all automated via Steam.

I never had to do this retro admin work...
I won't do it, it's absurd. Keep your remaster. We are in 2024 guys. Wake up.

Thanks for extending the deadline for this offer, but I still won't use it.
I'm not going to create a twitter account just for this when I purposefully don't have one. Plus the hassle to make an email which I'll delete it right after getting the key... just no.

This is not givng free keys. This is "buy a copy by doing us some marketing". A have both games and theres no way in hell I'm going to create a twiter account for a game key. I don't think it should be given for free (wich is not the case) an automatic discount on Steam for onwers of the old versions would be more apropriate.
