To be fair, they never said Stroheim would be unlocked and immediately playable once the patch dropped on January 29th — just that he'd be added alongside it. But still, it sucks. Built up all that hype, waited all day to release the patch only to tell everyone Stroheim himself will unlock later.
Why did they do this? What was the point? We'll never know. But patience, we'll get to experience the best science in the world sooner rather than later
Another reason why I dislike CC2, they announce content, make it seem like the content is coming at a certain date, then, when everything is supposed to release, they say "umm ackshually, you are supposed to unlock on Feb. 1st". Regardless, I am super hyped about the update. Thanks for the information!
Stroheim was added with the last patch. He's present in the character select screen, the game files and the game itself. You can even fight against him in Arcade mode if he's randomly chosen by the CPU. He's finished and fully playable — just not for us. The wait for February is entirely artificial.
