People ask for rollback but don't know a problem with it
The game I built off the original jojo all star battle which was made before rollback was popular so if they do add rollback they would have to completely remake there online to handle it, plus the online isn't as God awful as everyone says not as good as some other fighting games but it isn't hard to find matches or play them

That's a bad excuse. Arcsys have been going back and adding rollback to alot of their older games.

Yea the online is passable if your playing someone in your coast or close to the state you live for that matter. Outside of that it is God Awful. But that's the thing when your playing ranked or player match you can't specifically target people in your area now can you? Only "same region". So lets say I pair up with someone living in the West Coast of the US (i live in the East Coast). With delay based netcode no matter how good our connection is it will be completely unplayable.

Stop making excuses for companies your spending your hard earned money on. TBH I would have them pushed the game back a year just so they could focus on making the online experience better. First to 1 in Ranked matches then after the match is done u get booted back to the online menu. Online connection bars not consistent with connections. No wifi indicators. People able to rage quit and u get a penalty. No Lobbies. This game has terrible delay based netcode and a shoddy online infrastructure which feels like an after thought.

The good thing is the game has alot of depth, tons of characters to choose from, unlockable constumes, fun gameplay and tons of attention to detail when it comes to lore and character interactions. You can tell the devs really cared and paid attention to the source material and are fans of the franchise. But lets be real everything outside of the combat is quite dated and needs a complete and total overhaul. For something released in 2022 it sure as hell still feels like a product from 2013 which was when the original version released. They literally had almost a decade to fix the issues and completely dropped the ball.

The hope we had was that they would have remade the online so it matches modern standards when they remastered this game. Buggy PS3 delay netcode is unacceptable.

Fair points but they rushed it to get it out for the jojo 35 years anniversary maybe they'll fix it soon but I haven't had any issues online

The problem is it ain't good as any fighting game when it comes to the online segment . Tekken 7 is miles ahead of the hot garbage of netcode . Albeit the game is quite playable at 3 bars if both are on ethernet .
I mean I've had worse connection issues on tekken I think people are exaggerating a bit

Granted arcsys is the leading edge of rollback many companies don't even want to use it yet

ArcSys is the leading edge of Rollback? You mean the company that refused to use it for so many years despite it being objectively better than what they had? lmfao

There's no excuse. This game needs rollback, and it's current online play is some of the absolute worst in any fighting game.

No, there really isn't much worse than this game's online. I challenge you to even try name a game with worse netcode than this, because I'm certain you can't. And if the talk about it's terrible online means many people aren't buying the game, then that's a good thing. Why would I want more people to buy a game that they aren't going to be able to play online when online is the main draw?
