It's more important that the pace of new content release is good and the game can keep you engrossed for tens, hundreds of hours to keep it all interesting. And what the game needs to improve, to refine, new ideas have to suggest.

I'd only suggest buying it in EA if you want to support development and know for a fact it's something you will be interested in once it's completed, or want to play early and have no gripes about getting content in chunks.
Pro tip:
You do not have to buy the game in early access. Just wait for release and some good old 50% sale in maybe 1 to 2 years.
Just because a game releases in early access, you do not have to immediately buy it. You know?
