No Rest for the Wicked

No Rest for the Wicked

How long will this game be in Early Access?
$40 to be a beta tester is kinda of ridiculous tbh.

They usually last anywhere between year to a few years i guess it depends on the studio, but if you dont want to "beta test" the game then dont buy it and wait till it officially releases, nobody is forcing you to buy it during EA, not to mention the price usually goes up for full releases.

Its only 32 dollars if you get an affiliate link from a streamer on launch, or 35 dollars for 2 weeks after launch. If it's not your cup of tea, then don't do it.

There's no way to predict that. There are games that have been in early access for years that have dozens of hours of content. But they get hung up on one thing (grind) without always going beyond the limitations.
It's more important that the pace of new content release is good and the game can keep you engrossed for tens, hundreds of hours to keep it all interesting. And what the game needs to improve, to refine, new ideas have to suggest.
See the roadmap: Co-op and PVP will be.

I would guess 2 years, give or take a year. There's a whole studio with experience behind it and they seem to have a solid foundation planned out so all that's really needed is some feedback along the way.

I'd only suggest buying it in EA if you want to support development and know for a fact it's something you will be interested in once it's completed, or want to play early and have no gripes about getting content in chunks.
Well OP is banned so I wonder where else they we're spreading their opinion lol

On Shop site for every early access game, theres this question answered by the devs.... they gave no direct answer to that, besides that its kinda not predictable yet. Why Do you think you are getting this question answered in this thread? :steamfacepalm:

Pro tip:

You do not have to buy the game in early access. Just wait for release and some good old 50% sale in maybe 1 to 2 years.

Just because a game releases in early access, you do not have to immediately buy it. You know?

That's the neat part. They don't have a real roadmap of when the game will hit version 1.0, they only have a roadmap for their planed update but not WHEN it will be released or how long this will take. not like Son of the Forest or Baldur Gate, where the developer has an exact timeframe for it. So you are not just paying $40 for early access to endie games (which is already absurd compared to other EA indie games), but also paying $40 for not knowing when they will finish their product or ever.  people that saying it will be take less than 2 years is really too optimistic because even the dev dont know that

That's not what early access means.

Last Epoch was EHG's first project, Moon Studios has had 2 very successful titles under their belt - not a very good comparison
