I pooped my pants
As I said elsewhere, I'm pretty sure they almost halted for whatever internal reason we'll never know. During this time, they said nothing on official channels (Steam, YouTube) for a reason (legal reason?)...
Now, I agree with you that today they have NOTHING to show but they're finally moving forward.
I don't care how much time the game will need to be finished, but since November I was really afraid that the project would be abandoned or "released" in a rough state and never touched again.
Today I have hope, still don't trust them (my review remains negative) but maybe I was wrong.
How? We already bought the game man, theres no more money from us until they release, i never heard of any dev doing this after EA, never, they release and people who bought the EA has access to the whole thing, thats it.
They obviously know what they are doing, they got big plans, great ideas and extraordinary art concepts. But these things don't look that pretty when they are sliced into pieces and being delivered to us once several months.
I can see it's mainly for the funds but... I just hope they really had something well planned.
I would love if you were right. Take a look at Ark Ascended selling DLCs meanwhile the game is still in early access state.
I don't think they will do this for the Breach update here. But still, I won't be surpised if they put a price on it. The current situation with early access games is really outrageous. Steam need to do something about it.
Damn i didnt know about that, selling DLCs when the game is still in EA is shameful, i do hope Moon dont do that or i will be right here beside you in the foruns complaining about this, some devs have even began to sell pre order quests, like Stalker 2 and Mandragora did.
Nothing wrong in being angry and complaining, I do hope they're also fighting hard for serious matter in life.
As for the trailer, it doesn't seem to be the graveyard exit.
For now, let's see if Moon Studio will improve in their communication.
Yea this is crazy, but the case of Ark is really extreme and paid DLCs is only the tip of the iceberg for them, that's not the subject here but in their case they made awful things (premium mods platform and got out of steam workshop, exclusivity Nitrado partnering for private server hosting, nothing is done for cheaters on official servers, devs wipes other players when they get raid on officials servers, game stutter and unplayable even on high end configs without manual UE5 tweaks).
I just hope Moon Studio will wake up and prove that NRFTW will be worth it in the end.
Ehm... on March we'll get more info about the Breach, non the content itself.
Let's face it: they almost stopped working on NoRest for several months, for some reason we'll hardly ever know. Now they are back on track (I hope) and of course need time to deliver this huge update.
After almost a year, this is the best they can do. A teaser for a campfire chat about an upcoming update. What a waste.
As is said before, it would be a miracle if this ever sees 1.0
At this rate, my nephews and nieces will have children and this will still be in EA.
Private Division, the publisher of No Rest for the Wicked, was owned by Take-Two and Take-Two decided to drop Private Division, causing a ton of legal complications for all projects under Private Division along with numerous layoffs.
This is well documented.
