Embers better than pestilence effigies

You can burn up to 4 embers instead of effigies in order to increase the corruption, which is way cheaper. You can even infect areas with just embers.

You got it wrong. You can manually infect any zone by burning any items (as in all). Torn effigy is when you want to skip killing mobs to summon the boss. Notice when you burn torn effigy, there is no pestilence gauge? While burning any other materials will manually summon the pestilence similar way if it naturally occured.

Embers are way more important. Burning them is a huge waste! You can max other alt characters easily if you save embers, after your main build is OP!

More important than the lategame ressources? I doubt that.
You can farm 20 embers in like 10min in the first area.

If you only get 2 in 15min, you clearly doing something wrong mate....You memorized every chest and digsite location and made a sensible farming route?
Something like, start from 1st boss area towards the south with the god statues, into the cave, climb up to orban glades, go down again into the water area, go through the tower into shallows and over the bridge where the cook is to mariners.

you dont even have to waste embers, just use any item like mushrooms or w/e you have to much of
