The more I play, the more this game just frustrates me because of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ design
Is this the archer from the Marin Woods? That guy has some serious tracking hehehe, he is my top annoying enemy, the bomb guy was demoted to second place.
In the end this is all a matter of knowing your enemy movesets, play more, kill more, die more, and you will know by heart what these fu-ckers will do before they do it.
What do you mean? Certain Bosses does this where you Blink or Dash around them and while they are in animation they just turn around and smack you?
Brood Boss before he slams hes wing has 360 degree movement
Those bigger brutes with their long canes also mid animation cancel turn around and smack you.
Even the normal enemies from start does this when their shields are raise up.
Tho once you know, you can expect it and dodge. It's allways about memorizing the movement and strike when you get the chance
Yeah, then you have to battle the camera angle as it shifts so you don't dash of the Cliff?? Then you have x2 of them one attacking after the other and you can memorise them all you want, but you'll get hit and flinged of the edge or you can't get a hit in because you spend 90% of the time dodging and finding angles waiting for a open to attack.
B. You can invest in stamina and dodge.
C. You can study the animation and legit parry.
D. You can press the advantage and attack first.
Do enemies hurt? Yes, yes they do. I pay them back in fire and anguish. Got me a good shield to block get some distance then. Closer...Closer....AND BURN!
When I was Claws I had speed and I would blitz enemies with considerable wind up time, with electric and steel. They would stagger, and then i am either eating or laying in the pain. You have to know how you want to fight, the combat is strategic, it is brilliance.
This is the worlds greatest beat-em-up. And the genre aficionados are missing it.
A. That's not my build.
B. You can only dodge so much before 30 stamina runs out
C. I do Parry hence why I don't have a shield, but certain attacks can't be parried.
D. Enemies always get to attack first if they know of your location. Then you have to wait their animation before you can strike if otherwise can't be parried.
Not sure what claws you had, but mine just miss it's full combo. I have to attack, wait 3 seconds, attack, wait 3 seconds because there is no control on how I want my character to attack with movement. Claws has a 4 attack animation which can't be completed on any enemy just the way it misses every single hit but the 1st attack.
Too bad I bricked my weapon by putting a Fire Gem ONTOP of my Freeze Enchantment thinking it would double stack.
Latest improvment, expedition 33, the merchant using a feint to make you parry then knock you hard but it is a turn based game.
There is room for improvement but it seems that the industry rather like graphics !
Also, Monster Hunter taught me well that sometimes the best option is just sprinting especially with bosses. Works here too.
