Stuck, gate in Marin Woods

I can't seem to get this gate open. And I'm missing one of those plants to feed the orb. I can't even see it, it's on my map but I have no idea how to get to it.

Figured it out.

This is quest related.

Don't go to Marin Woods until the boy sends you there with a quest.
