I wanted a mage that used spells but im lvl 12 too and all i do is melee with maybe a fireball every 30 minutes.... The progression and build building was way more fun before the update tbh.
i dont mind the difficulty at all but the frustrations of not being able to do what you want and being punished keeps piling up and its not as fun as before unfortunately, they better fix everything before people get tired of it.
Also, i equipped all mines and health regen dosnt even seem to work still and i never put any points in health..
even you might be right with health regen as i never seen my HP go up at all when out of battle
Yeah its annoying to be forced in to melee with wand. I tried to work a bit on my gear, and my focus regeneration now is bit better, but still low and have to bonk enemies. Kinda hoped for F Regen enchant, but unlucky. And I agree that before the update it was much better.
First time player.
I dodge In-> Combo for Focus -> back off -> heavy Bow-shot, parry, or dodge, and than melee again. I like to use the heavy Bow- shot because it bushes me back a bit and so I can evade an incoming attack with the pushback of the heavy schot.
It is Challenging, but so much fun to me.
Since im new to the game i cant compare to before. Lucky me.. :D To me the game is awesome. The right amount off Challange and fun.
I read everywhere that the bow is uselless. But it feels so good to me.
Bloody Sword(starter weapon)... and Bow (which has my stats split..) Gotten few daggers. Really hoping to get my Katana Back...
Keep my Bow/Sword build going from before. Was having alot of fun, Thou tonight patch will hopfully adjust some stuff.
Hopfully they fix/adjust Bows. I'd hate to give it up and just be stuck with 1 weapon play.
sadly bow is really useless atleast for me you cant use it at all have to try melee to get 1 arrow that deals still ♥♥♥♥ damage even i just better off use a big hammer or climber pick and trow a fire spin at them and watch there HP get melt that way and add damage over time. i just want the OLD bow back where you use stamina to shoot instead of all FOCUS .
True !..
I was shocked earlier to see that we use focus again for bows... last time i heard it was using stamina so i was so hyped but i guess its devs ruining games/hypes with bad/stupid decisions again..
Whats wrong these days with devs tho, they dont play games anymore but ask advisors instead for everything ? :/
I dont think using stamina for bows was too much to ask, i dont understand
Sigh.. we just want to play..
They did some good adjustments to focus and enemies range/rush attacks.. The focus on use feel one step to far.
According to pinned thread, we get a patch tonight to adjust some stuff... one can hope.
Main tip for bow, is Heavy Shot, don't waste focus on normal shot. Short Bow pew pew pew is pretty bad, not worth 100 cost.
Once you get Yew? (already forgot) wood vendor will sell it at lv2? Has Spilt Shot.
100 focus, will do a decent amount. (not as good as Pre-update)
Its a must have bow skill. forgot name of other skill...
Yeah i saw a few minutes ago, some hope is good at least, fingers crossed mages are fixed too
The "Scream" ability is definitely OP as heck.
I'm not sure how status effects interact yet but I'm gonna try out fire+plague runes and see if I can layer on two different dots simultaneously. I could see that being a pretty nasty combination, if it lets me.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm also running heavy chest and leg armor while using cloth gloves and helmet. Partly for style, partly for resistances and partly so I don't have to invest as much into the item weight stat.
