Gauntlet Weapon Problems
I play with fist weapons in every action game im able too, even if they arent the best options, just because i like to punch stuff. In all the Fromsoft games, the Nioh games, DMC gauntlets are my most used of all the weapons in those games, ninja gaiden games, bayo games, ect. The gauntlets in this game feel BAD. No stun locking potential, low damage, weirdly high weight (15lbs on clothe wraps), focus skills have large recovery periods and arent good.

The 5 extra skills ive bought in the new shop are all bad feeling. For some reason the skills the shop sells are all moves that cost stamina, not focus. And the stamina cost are SO HIGH. A third or half of my stamina at the beginning of the game and for literally no damage. My base hits do 3 damage and the skills do 5 and 6. In the time it takes me to hit 3 or 4 times, i can use 1 skill that does less damage, poise damage, and costs way more stamina. They dont even do more poise damage or knock back than my charge attacks that dont cost rune slots and has a smaller stamina cost. Why?
This isnt even to mention that half the time, my running attack with the second claw gauntlets you get, along with most of the skill attacks, flying Right past enemies directly in front of me. Whether im pressed against them or 10 feet away i will just miss. For no reason.

And again this is just the complaints i have with the weapon type itself, not even how its made so much worse in the current state of the games difficulty and enemy berserk attitude compared to the previous version of the game i played. I feel no desire to keep playing even to the sewer section.

All these things make these the most frustrating and least fun gauntlet/fist/martial arts weapons ive use in any action game. Even in games like DS1 were the cestus are super basic, they atleast function. They hit enemies i swing at and on anything my size, they will stun lock enemies. Not here. No fun to be had unfortunate. I hope this changes so i can come back when 1.0 lands and the game and gauntlets will be more fun to play with.

Its okay to let your players feel strong. DMC, Bayo, Nioh, and Elden Ring allow me to feel strong, all these other games let me feel strong but are still challenging games. Let me feel strong and have fun here too

I think this game is all about feeling extremely weak even against the most basic enemies. Not fun at all, I always like a challenging game, but there's a line between "challenging" and "frustrating", and this game crosses that line way too many times.

Also, the survival and inventory management parts are extremely tedious.
As someone who was finding great difficulty in enjoying the game with the Woven Wraps (though most of my deaths were via fall damage), once you acquire other fist weapons in the game, like the claws, it's like a completely different game. Strikes are swift and powerful, if stunning doesn't occur than any enhancements used will proc extremely quickly due to the high Actions per Second. I melted two of the story bosses in the level 15-18 range with lightning empowered on my weapon via focus.

I don't know why Woven Wraps feel like complete garbage, but if you commit to being a Punchy Enjoyer, the wait is well worth it.
The fast (light) weapons are extremely weak.
The weapons don't knock down, don't stun, and don't tire enemies.
I was playing with light armor and I already realized that it's not worth it, not even the quick dodge saves.
It's better to use heavy weapons and armor, which will be less frustrating, and this has been the case since the first day the game was released on Steam...

here is solution - Ice
either use ice skills and shatter with basic attacks, or use infusion and second weapon for shatter, or just go ham cold without caring about shater

cold trivializes alot of things

also bow with knockdown shot (or whatever the name is) can be used even if you dont meet the stats, and the knockdown is OP
