look at vast majority reviews, they are about gameplay mechanics people didn't enjoy, only a tiny number of those left negative review for non-game reasons
reviews will wax and wane, they can easily shoot up again if good changes are made to the game - same with any early access or live service title really
-You can use embers (game items ) to reroll endless encahntments on your gear the importance of this mighty tool is poorly explained by the game
-Poise System doesnt feel subjectivly in a good spot
-High rarity gear doesnt mean that it is better then your already blue one
All in all lets say it this way if you dont spend some time to engage and learn the mechanics of the game it "can" be struggeling.
And if you someone who leveling up Strength and playing a Mage it isnt the game for your. ( Mahler said a lot of peole seems to done this; maybe this are the same guys rated it low on there reviews)
If your a fan of such games give ith a try for an EA its highly enjoable. Can only speak for my self i still have my fun with it.
A lot of youtubers have been covering the drama and in return people are checking the game out and leaving a positive review to combat the left leaning review bombing.
Why the ♥♥♥♥ someone would expect spellcasting from strengh? I know only 1 game where "strengh" is somewhat tied to spells and it is Pillars of Eternity.
I've seen devs comments about removing stats, but that would be idiotic. Just add notes how runes scale in their description.
Basically devs screwed up big times in last big content patch, players got mad and posted a bunch of negative reviews (understandably).
Then game's studio lead posted borderline blackmail/hostage message on discord how the game got "bombed by haters" and studio might close because of it.
Now here is a bunch of white knights defending every single aspect of the game, no matter how bad it is.
Perfomance issues, expecially game crashed when you went to lowland meadows after story.
I believe they fixed that already. At least it works now for me and the game seems to be easier too.
And yes, its good to defend games you like. Those trolls and toxic haters dont sleep either. These discussion forums are partly really bad.
Tbh just take your time and read some negative reviews and you´ll see that the most are nonsense.
Besides politics it´s mostly:
- "I miss a QoL feature."
- "Game is too hard.", even if it´s tagged as souls-like ARPG on the store-page.
- "I have to start a new game to play the new stuff."
Poeple just want fast and easy games these days. They "don´t have the time" to grind something or to find out stuff on their own, or to actually get better at a game obviously. It´s laughable at best.
Also this game is still in EA and the devs communicated that a fresh start is needed because they made a massive gameplay-overhaul together with all the new content. Yet poeple cry... because they can´t accept their own incompetence to read properly what the EA-state means... It´s not like it is shown on the store-page aswell.
