No Rest for the Wicked

Earlier Respec
Could the dev please think about adding another option for respecing, that doesn't involve the crucible.

It seems kinda easy to scuff an entire character if stated wrong. Once you realized you messed up your character you're far enough in to not want to just restart.

I agree. I think maybe a potion or consumable item for 5 -10 silver at gen goods store would work. It could have a limited amount on offer, say 2-3 for sale and the rest could be unlocked via crucible.
Honestly how bad did you even mess up your stats that it makes a difference? Did you just go all in on STR, DEX, INT, or FAITH and decide you want to use a different weapon? Because that is the only time I could see it mattering. You should be able to get by with everything else, no??

Bad stat spread. I do so little damage that the only way I can kill anything is with a skill after parrying.

My armor and weapon is upgraded to what is current in my game and has gems.

I am not using any negative affix gear atm.
Switching weapons is somewhat of an issue in this game. But having the stats all lined up only gets some damage. Some weapons literally are not doing very much damage.

As for the respec being in crucible, it does seem weird because crucible is very unforgiving in how it scales. And that is only the first set of crucible fights. If the others get more difficult then there can only be a few builds and weapons that are viable in crucible.

I feel that the crucible needs some attention to how approachable it is rather than worrying about where the respec will be.

But also maybe respec shouldn't be in the crucible as crucible seems to be nearly end game styled content.

Luckily even with a bad spec you can probably fake your way through enough replays of crucible to get the necessary points and then get to the seneschal to do the unlock. Respec though is not the best solution for someone that ended up throwing their points around too much. If your character is a mess, it actually is easier to restart.
yes this would be great the alchemist you recruit could be the source

Honestly, I'd like the devs to go look at how Code Vein handles Attributes.

You can pretty much flip your entire build at a whim by just changing your blood code and gear.
The should have the statue somehwere in sacrament to respec with fallen embers as it is now but also give you a special item every time you beat the echo knight which you can use to respec when using it.

I think it should just unlock automatically and have the statue available in the Crucible without reaching Floor 5.
However, in the meantime, there is some weapons that only require 10 of any stat, that you can level for now. I was able to get quite far with a couple of those before deciding I wanted to respec.
