Sometimes you get an easy room, sometimes you get worst spawns on worst map and gotta use the skills that pay the bills to the max.
Sometimes RNG Buffs are total ****, and Echo Knight is gonna remind you your place. XD
Anyway, you only need get thru 1st few zones to get to Senechal, (as noted by icon in top right) And trying to beat stages to earn coins (20 being needed for re-trait)
EDIT.
Any enemy you know to have a knock down... don't hang near edges. 90% sure the game is rigged to launch you, even if your back/hit isn't facing the ledge.
100%. I had horrible RNG one day and failed the first room at least four times because the maps were awful and the enemies were absolutely bullying me. Came back later and sailed through like it was nothing.
I'm hoping the upcoming ledge protection fixes when using runes spares me from at least a few future embarrassing deaths.
If you can’t get to the fifth floor, I’d recommend either investing in your gear, or rerolling.
This is a list of all available enchants. It should be able to help you theory craft your play style.

If you would like advice on stat allocation I can give you a very easy setup as long as it doesn’t use runes or focus, as I don’t use either.
This game is quite unfair with ledges already...
- unstoppable rune abilities
- some weapons engage a non-stoppable forward animation like Nith Sword
- very bad targeting system that insists on locking to a target you did not intend, so you fly off in an unintended direction
- auto-run makes you also auto-JUMP to your death
All of these things are just bad ..... it is very easy to die in stupid ways.
Crucible takes all of these issues and bakes a cake with them.
But that's not the real kicker for me.
I'm really not happy that they gated respec behind 5 levels of this ... why??? This literally makes no sense ... players struggle with Crucible until max level so I must beat 5 levels of it so I can then respec ??? People want to respec WHILE PLAYING CONTENT, when they determine that STR isn't working for them and they want DEX... or they find a better more appropriate weapon for their style.
But this system punishes you and forces you to keep using the thing you don't want. So by the time you actually CAN respec, there's no new content to play through.
I am literally max level with 26 STR and 25 INT, which locks me out of a lot of weapons that have a 26/26 requirement. It just happened that way .... and it's just absolutely bad that I can't easily fix it.
Respec totem should just unlock with Crucible to begin with. I'm OK with having to get to the vendor for everything else... but don't lock low level (or lower skilled) players out of changing something they are unhappy with.
I am just at the point of activating the plague zones - so yes, I know there is more upgrading to be done, but I'd like to do this content with a better spec.
I a'bselutly agree with you ... it feels like **** and the same goes for weapon & armor upgrading past lv 8 you will find tons of useless upgrade componants and almost nothing of what you actually need this time @ 80 hours of gameplay since the breach patch I have found 1 bear claws and the other one i own i have bought from a vender.
Right now a lot of the stats on weapons feel random and just lock you out of weapons with certain movements, that you might enjoy playing.
The whole stats system needs an overhaul badly as it aims at the dark souls formula but does a lot of systems in a different way that does not feel cohesive.
I want to test different stuff while playing the content, not to fine-tune a build for a rogue like addon that is designed in a very frustrating way once I have finished the fun content.
You purchase now a lvl 1 weapon from the smith, buy armor as well. Meet Elsa at the crucible chamber and open it.
Update these items in your old realm as much as possible and give the weapon lifesteal or ele infusion. If you have other lvl 1 items or lvl 1 rings, it will help. Get some mushroom soups. Put all the updated lvl 1 gear in the stash of your new realm.
Create a new char and go into that realm and take the gear. You can level a few times hp and a few points into stamina, but do not level up too much.
Go into the crucible and smash it.
Was easily farming the Crucible at lvl 20. Hitted lvl 30 with all stuff lvl 12 (no plague upgrades yet) and I feel really underpowered. So, I am finishing the story to get the endgame content to be able to do the Crucible to get uniques... for what actually ?
Yes, literally this. You reach max level but your gear gated behind Plague mechanic. I really don't like how Crucible set up as of right now. It's really weird. Anyone reading this, if you think the game is easy go to Crucible now rather than later. I beat story bosses first try, because I run around in the world and overleveled and get punished for it.
I am thinking the same thing. I wanted to respec my character when I hit max level since I kinda screw couple points, I thought I can find weapons with mixed scaling but all the gear asks 42 Intellegence which I don't have. So, I went to Crucible and... This.
Seems like you need to do Crucible as soon as is accessible or at the veeeeery end of the game. I don't like it. Crucible scaling should reflect gear level not character level if you ask me.

I already stated that I'm max level you illiterate thick plank.
