A reset is coming

I read on the game forum that when the new No Rest for the Wicked update is released, our current characters will no longer be viable. They’ll be transferred to “realms” separate from the base game… In other words, all the time invested in the game will be useless for the upcoming content.

This Crucible update serves no purpose other than to artificially extend playtime. I don’t understand the decision they made.

The world evolves based on the bosses we’ve defeated. Why didn’t they release the acts gradually? Why didn’t they implement default level caps to avoid a “reset”?

Personally, I’m not launching the game again until the update is here.

Will they do the same thing again if they don’t release the full acts in the next big patch?

Nobody understands, crucible is terrible, i dont like roguelike either, i would prefer it to be a normal dungeon with a boss at the end, with a whisper near the Echo Knight so we can train trying to kill the bastard, memorizing his movesets is a chore.

As for the wipe, we all know thats always a possibility on EA, and i think that will not be the first, if they implement the skill tree it might change a lot and need another one maybe?

I have stopped playing too until the next big patch, whenever that will launch, next big patch has 2 new areas and a buttload of changes, fist weapons, Marin Woods, coop, i dont think we will see this update in december either, devs bit more that they could chew.

The devs said that the Crucible was released in a state that was nowhere near what they envisioned, and a lot of people complained about it so they worked on it as an in-between update. The Crucible is endgame content anyways, so of course it's meant to give something else to do.

Resets have nothing to do with releasing more of the story. Resets happen because past content does not work with the new content they're releasing. There could be changes to earlier content with the new content releasing as well (areas getting updated, quests that you can do in different orders that can change the story, etc.). Plus, high level characters with cheese builds can easy rush through the new content and leave people saying "That's it?".

Well then... I don't wanna get frustated once more. The game AD and gameplay is absolutly amazing, I do really felt in with love the atmosphere! I'll just be patient and wait fot it. I don't want to spend hours on content I'll loose. I'll wait for PoE 2 and come back to this game after.

eh, Resets/Wipes on Early access titles are not new and expected.

But I also stopped playing and will wait for a major patch or full release before touching this again. Just love the artstyle and animation of this game, If they could make an animated TV series on par with Arcane, I would binge that.

is that for sure? and when comes that "big" next patch. cruicible is not that bad. more upgrade, more bonus and maybe some nice stuff. also buy thinks with souls and not money would be nice too.
