It adds a layer of complexity to the game, since you have to choose what to upgrade first, people dont like it, i dont mind, if the devs put some sort of option would be better, i would still use it, as i say what really bugs me is having some sort of construction be instantaneous, but to each their own i suppose.
Yeah I picked up the game recently and the timers are really not a problem. I am surprise people are complaining about it. Not that you need to rush into getting all the projects done at the same time. Chop some trees and pickaxe some ore and dig up some clay and start a project. You can grind materials for 3 or 4 projects at a time and you can go do other stuff like level up or collect gear etc.
To the OP, I would get it now that it is on sale. Just remember this is a Early Access game so don't expect a full game. Play it for it a bit and come back to it when major updates drop. It is a fun game and the art style is impressive and unique.
